1. Who may use this site

The members area is for brothers and prospective brothers of Zeta Beta Xi who are 18 or older. New accounts are reviewed and approved by a chapter administrator before they gain access. We may decline or revoke access at our discretion.

2. Your account

• Keep your password confidential and don't share your account. We strongly recommend turning on two-factor authentication.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away at zbxi.web@gmail.com if you think it's been compromised.
• Provide accurate information and keep your profile reasonably up to date.

3. Acceptable use

To keep this a safe space for the brotherhood, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or bully anyone.
• Copy, scrape, export, or publish the roster, family tree, or any brother's contact details or personal information outside the site.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent who you are.
• Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that is unlawful, hateful, or obscene.
• Attempt to break, probe, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its data.
• Use the site or its member information for commercial solicitation or spam.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of the photos, posts, comments, and other content you upload. By posting, you give Zeta Beta Xi permission to display and store that content on the site for the purpose of running the brotherhood community. You promise that:

• You have the right to post it; and
• For photos, you have the consent of the people who are clearly identifiable in them.

We may remove any content that breaks these terms or that we're asked to take down, and we may do so without notice.

5. Reporting content & takedown requests

If you see content that shouldn't be here — a photo of you that you want removed, something that infringes your copyright, or anything that violates these terms — email zbxi.web@gmail.com with a description and, if possible, a link. We will review and respond promptly, and remove content where appropriate.

6. Privacy

Your use of the site is also covered by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and the control you have over your information.

7. The site is provided "as is"

We offer this site to the brotherhood as a community resource. It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't guarantee that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we're not responsible for content posted by other users.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Zeta Beta Xi and those who operate the site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including anything arising from other users' content or conduct, from downtime, or from unauthorized access to data despite our reasonable security measures. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms or that poses a risk to the brotherhood or the site. You may close your own account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above, and your continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms.
